Camping in Tucson, AZ
We spent a couple days camping at Catalina State Park and it was absolutely gorgeous! The park sits at the base of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountsins. It has over 5,500 acres of canyons, streams, hiking and biking and horse trails that wind through the park into the Coronado National Forest with elevations of 3,000 Feet. We arrived just as the desert wildflowers were blooming and it was breathtaking! There are over 5,000 saguaros and 150 species of birds. We decided to bike the trails to cover more distance and see as much as we could. I am so happy we did, as we rode through beautiful streams, miles of flowers and huge cactus, with thousands of butterfly’s all around us.
